On the occasion of Christmas, almost all the Churches of Sansepolcro, Monterchi, Anghiari, Città di Castello set the “ Nativity scene “ with old statues or using creativity and imagination of the inhabitants. It is usual to visit various churches to admire the “ Nativity scene “ in the afternoon the day of S.This activity will give much pleasure to children. In recent years, also held at Villa Monterchi a living “ Nativity scene “ , that will astonish you because of its beauty and for the atmosphere that brings us back to yesteryear.
Sansepolcro
The Palio of the crossbow between Gubbio and Sansepolcro (Palio della Balestra) - Second Sunday in September
The tradition of the Palio is alive because of the great passion of crossbowmen, who over generations have handed down this noble art. Since 1951 the race has become an historic commemoration with crossbowmen in clothes of fifteenth century. In 1992, the costumes and the crossbowmen of Sansepolcro Parade have been renovated and directly inspired by the works of Piero della Francesca. A tribute to the great artist of the village but also to Piero as Crossbowman, because an overall review of the ammunition of the town in 1453, Piero della Francesca apparent owner of a crossbow for public defense.

In conjunction with the Palio, run in honor of the Santo Egidio Founder, will be held two important meetings, which alternate each year: the Biennal of the goldsmith's art ( Biennale dell’arte orafa ) and the Biennal of lace or lace on pins, ( Biennale del merletto o trina a spilli,) with which they are assigned two major traditions joining with local art itself craft and skill.

The real attraction are the Bringoli, the classic spaghettoni only water and flour, which are hand-made by housewives of the country and served with mushroom sauce or meat.
